No update to 8.54 available on Win10

Hi,

A very odd behaviour:

1. yesterday, on the guest PC, Win 10 x64, when I launched EPIM, I got the message there was an update to 8.54. I was surprised, as I haven't got that on the host, with EPIM launched 4 hours earlier, so I skipped the update, as DB was already opened in 8.53.1 on the host;

2. today, on the host, Win 8.1 x64, I got the message on the update, while launching EPIM, so I updated it to 8.54;

so far so good;

now:
3. today, I have just opened the guest PC, as in the point #1, and no update available automatically. I pressed a couple of times the button, nothing.
Seems, like I can't work today, because the DBs were already all opened in 8.54 version, and I do not want to destroy them by opening them with 8.53.1 EPIM.

Any clues?

All the day I could not update EPIM on the guest PC, Win 10. Same message, no update avail.

Trinitylab, you can get 8.54 on all your computers by downloading from here:
https://www.essentialpim.com/get-epim
the explanation for your case is that we have auto-update to 8.54 turned on for a few hours (when your host PC updated) and then we turned it off as we need some time to regroup and make some changes to 8.54.1

Hi Max, under the link there is 8.54.1, is it fully ended or being changed?

Yes, that's the fixed version.
Android version of EssentialPIM. Keep all your data in sync!

We are doing a staged rollout, it will be available in different time to different users, but most will start getting it in a few hours.

If you are using 8.53.x, you will still need to update to 8.54.x manually, by downloading from https://www.essentialpim.com/get-epim

Yes, did it, thanks, here it is how a user can see it:

today 8.53.1 host PC recognized there is an automatic update to 8.54.1, I clicked 'download and install', it did, as usually,
then a usual message 'epim will close and restart and bla bla', clicked OK.
Nothing.
Just it closed and did not restart. Two times.
So, yes, I had to do it manually, but this is not how it should be done with the updates. Either, as you said, there is no possibility to make it automatic (devs' failure, but at least with logic behind), or if a software checks, sees, downloads and close itself, it should work to the end.

The same as above was on guest PC, Win10. Done manually, with all the automatic processes not ended.
