Post by windsurfer »

I am using pro version 8.63 and i am looking to make a template for my contacts but there is nothing in the help file about this, i searched the forum and no luck.
Any directions of where i can find instructions on this ?

EPIM does not provide templates for Contacts, however, it is really easy to work- around. Create a new contact you want to be a template and copy the contact, then, paste it. This way you can be keeping some contacts as templates and then copy-pasting them.

An "insert template" feature for notes would be really useful to me. On top of that, an "insert multiple notes template" would be great for usage as a calendar.

Hello,

thank you for the suggestion. Could you elaborate, what exactly both of these features would do?

Hi Max

I see it as a menu button on a toolbar. One template button for the tree and one for the note.
You can click 'Add template' in this menu button and add the current selected note or tree.
You can click 'Remove template' to remove it from the menu. The name of the template would be the note name in both case.
For using it, you would select a template from the menu, and it would add a tree structure (that is a tree full of notes) (if used from the tree toolbar) or a note text (if used in from the note toolbar).

Thank you. Maybe I miss something, but are "templates" significantly better than keeping some Notes in a separate tree (for example) and copy-pasting them whenever needed?

No, you are right Max. A separate tree and copy pasting are fine.
