64bits portable version

Post by mokaz »

Hi there EPIM team,

I'm testing your software and like it a lot. I've noticed that the Win PE on the portable edition is running on WOW64 and is indeed a 32bits application. Is there something I've missed maybe? A 64bits available setup kit or such ?

If not, do you have any plans to release a 64bits native PE ?

Thanks a lot,
Kind regards,
m.

Hi,

could you please elaborate, what advantages would native 64 bit have for your use case?

Sure, no advantages at all for a PIM: I'm using the 32-bits EPIM with my 64-bits OS without noticing the structural differences ; -)

thanks for the feedbacks, well I thought that potentially the x64 version would have come handy to migrate outlook contents of the same kind.

Never mind, a quick local IMAP server deployment was my best bet in order to flash those .pst contents somewhere. One shall not loose time trying to import/export etc. Just copy the pst content to an IMAP server and link your EPIM to the IMAP sever/account, gather what you need, done.

99% PiMed, just another few folders and I'm there.

As long as there are no issues with 32bit version, we won't consider switching to 64bit.
