+1 I'd like this too, the current note tree background color in the dark theme clashes with the default red.

Sure, we can add this feature. Although, not sure which red color your mean, MetalDrop. Could you explain, please?

+1. The new note color background option is pretty nice, having it on the note tree would be great as well.

I wonder if having the option to set individual note background colors for each note (overriding the global option locally) is a possibility.

Just the default red:

It's only readable as a font color on the current tree grey color if I crank up the brightness on my monitor to 100% which is blinding. Generally I like nearly everyone I know keep my monitor brightness turned down to around 0~30%.

Okay, I see, thanks for the clarification.

Question to all - should the note tree background color be an independent one or it should always inherit the note background color settings?

I think independent settings would be best. Just asking the people working near me 2 out of 5 of them said their ideal settings world be a black tree and white note note background so that way they could move away from the light theme, but keep print color accuracy well working.

+1. Keep the note and note tree background colors independent.

Or in addition, set a global default global color setting separately for notes and note trees but with an optional local background color override.
