disable blue border around note tabs in 9.10.5
How do I disable the new blue border for the active note tab added in version 9.10.5 they're exceedingly ugly and they don't make anything easier to see or recognize .

+1 needs to be a way to disable this.
I just got the 9.10.5 update and immediately noticed the borders that are clashing with all my tab colors, it's very distracting.

+1 here to. I don't really like the new active borders, I really liked how they use to blend right in, yet still be noticeable so they didn't steel attention away from anything.

Well ... you know that saying about taste?
Maybe there could be a nicer optic solution ... or maybe not. Don't really know.
As to me, it looks like something to recognize active tab more easy.

Everything I mention comes out of my experience. I'm not an expert. Feel free to try anything I suggest ... but always at your own risk.

Looks good to me, a brighter color and higher contrast would be better though.

Re: disable blue border around note tabs in 9.10.5
I fall under the category of people who don't like it. Especially in the note tree tabs, I have several rows of note tree tabs, and the border looks unbalanced and weird. Rather than a border I feel like there could have been a strip at the bottom of the tab that lights up or something, that way it didn't look so out of place when you get more than one row of tabs.
The color is also off putting, I color my tabs and the color of the border is quite funky around different tab colors, and even worse around groups of harmony colors that use to look really good together. I think it would be better if it was a color based off the tab color that was then either brighter or darker depending on the EPIM color theme [dark mode or light mode]

I like it too. It is an improvement for light colors, for example white tabs. But I have blue and green tabs, where they make hardly a difference. But, as poet-man said: "Well ... you know that saying about taste?......"

Not a fan of it either, I agree largely with FirebBrand, looks awful on multiple rows of tabs, needs to be more universal like a strip, bar, or dot and not a border, also the colors really should be dynamically brightness shift based on the tab color itself to avoid poor color combinations.

I was glad to see this feature. It makes it easier to distinguish the active tab and leaf. Perhaps the method of highlighting should be adjusted, as mentioned in these remarks, but please keep this feature.

+1 Don't like the way it's implemented. As other have said, it looks awful on multi-row tabs and the color is off putting on many tab colors.

Thank you all for your feedback! We will make this feature optional (though you might probably get used to it before it's implemented
) and also think about possible visual improvements.

Re: disable blue border around note tabs in 9.10.5
It's been a couple days now since 9.10.5 hit, and I've really tired to get use to this, but it's just so ugly, especially on the multiple rowed tabs.
Since I don't notice any of the other fixes in 9.10.5 I'm going to roll back to 9.10.1 until something is changed here it's too distracting even after days of seeing it for 10hrs a day.
Maybe on single rows it's not as bad in the light theme, and that's why there's such mixed feelings towards it, but it's simply atrocious in the dark theme.
