Calendar widget 2x2 doesnot know when is "today"
Hi there,
occasionally I get up early in the morning (say 3 o'clock).
Having a look onto the widget, the first entry is from last day, titled "today" (German version).
Scrolling up and down doesnot change anything. Device date is correct.
Only when starting AEPIM app and seeing everything correct in calendar module, returning to widget will show correct day as "today".
BTW:
There was an issue, some time ago, that in AEPIM-app deleted tasks, are still shown in that widget. This, if I remember correctly, was fixed by update. Now I had that "issue" again. Didnot try repro it so far. Do you have that experience as well, that the issue is back?
Thanks.

No, was on 5.8.5
Got 5.8.6 this morning. Installed it right now. Was there a fix as to the today-item I described? Please forget about the deleted tasks; want to repro this first.
Thanks.

There was a number of fixes included, which might have influenced the today-related issue.

Re: Calendar widget 2x2 doesnot know when is "today"
So 5.8.6 pruduces like this:
On 22 sept, when first starting tablet (galaxy tab s4 - Android 10), widget shows what you see in screenshot.
This time, scrolling down and up again will bring correct content

Another Update:
When shutting down device, and restart, you get an "empty list" (see screenshot). To get content again in widget I opened AEPIM/Calendar. Back to homescreen, I had data there as well.

Another update:
Seems, refreshing date gets done, when scrolling down far enough. This seems to switch current day to correct date.
Another "feature" I realised (didnot want to open an extra thread) ...
When installing the widget, I activate "today button" as well. But tabbing on it on homescreen fairly often doesnot get any reaction. Sometimes scrolling up and down seems to activate the button somehow, and widget autom. scrolles up to current day, when tabbing on today icon.

Re: Calendar widget 2x2 doesnot know when is "today"
correction:
When "today button" doesnot show any reaction, scrolling completely down in widget (=swipe down to bottom) will end with current day on top of list.
