<Day>|<<Week>>|<<<Month>>>|(±# of days)

Post by dream_weaver »

Perhaps it is just nostalgia, but I think it is a little more than that.
Looking up an event, be it in the future or past, the number of days it occur(red)(s) helps to place it into perspective.

From a day/week/month view, the ability to go forward or backward a day/week/month is built into the EssentialPIM's current navigational array.

My presentation is arguing in favor of adding a (± # of days) the presented day varies from today's date.

You can use left/right and up/down keys on the keyboard to move by weeks in the Month view. What would +-Day button do on the Month view?

The arrows work nicely.

What would be nice to see the particular day that is highlighted and being taken under consideration, and to know how many days ago in the past, or how many days from now in the future it is.

ie. Thu. Aug. 20, 2020 (-1) or Wed. Aug. 19, 2020 (-2)
relative to Fri. Aug. 21 2020
or. Sat. Aug. 22, 2020 (+1) or Sun. Aug. 23, 2020 (+2)
having the "(±##)" shown when the day being considered is not the current day saves having to go into excel and compute the difference between two dates.

Similar functionality to EssentialPIM displaying
8/16/2020—8/22/2020 Week 34
or
August 2020 Week 31—36

This displays the Week #(s) relative to the beginning of the year.
If I look a date up in the past or future, how many days ago from today, or how many days from now, is it?

I see, thanks for the explanation. Will consider this option.

The new feature added in 10.2 for the "Go to Date" popup window navigator captured this request in a round-about way!
Most excellent!
