After trying once more, I have to admit, that in actual version, this issue doesnot seem to occur anymore.
For some weeks now, I hadnot tried this, because used WinEPIM most times.
During last versions however, AEPIM seems to have got changes, as to search. Now I can type in longer sequences and search automatically. I have less than 1000 items in calendar. Under this circumstances, it seems to work excellent now.

Everything I mention comes out of my experience. I'm not an expert. Feel free to try anything I suggest ... but always at your own risk.

It would be nice to have a submit for search option, rather than rely on the time delay. Seems the copy/paste approach doesn't always work.
