Go To Date Oddity

Post by lemj »

EPIM Pro 10.2.1

I click on Go To Date, the dialog opens.
The fields are:
Date: 4/25/2022
0 Days Forward
Show in month view.

I click on the year, 2022 is highlighted. I press the Down arrow on the keyboard, the year changes to 2023. Similar issue with month (4) and day (25).
I'm certain this used to work as expected.

Not sure I understand the problem here. How would you expect it to work?

If I highlight 2022 and press the down arrow I expect that to change to 2021.

Agreed. Otherwise, to get to previous dates you have to type in the previous date or use the calendar icon.

When I highlight 2022 and press the down arrow the year changes to 2023. This is not expected and I hope is not working as designed.

Now I see the issue - you cannot go back by clicking on the down arrow key. Thanks for the clarification, will be fixed in the next update.

Hello,
this is issue is close to mine:

I just pressed CTRL+G for "go to date"
then i wanted to go BACK to 2015 and entered the date.
Doesn't work... why? Because the opperator was in the FORWARD mode

So if i know the date.. i first have to switch the opperator.

My wish:
either
a) if you enter the date, opperator will be overwritten (automaticly forward / backward)
or
b) possibility to got "PLUS x days" oder "MINUS x days" --> "go +10 days" vs. "go -10 days"
c) both ;)

which leads me to my discovery: at the moment it's relativ to the day you are just editing (can be in the past / present / or future). But at this moment i have no preferenz if it is relativ "to today" or the "selected date"

I do not know if there will be a new version for EPIM10 in which this problem gives problems. I agree the go to date now works difficult.
BUT
in EPIM11 beta2 your option A is included.
In EPIM11 beta2 that I am testing the operator is automatically adjusted (backward/forward) when you enter a date in past or future.
