Installation Problems

Post by Ron_C »

Hi -
I just download EssentialPIM and am having email setup problems (emails and passwords have been blotted out). The incoming mail setup worked fine but the outgoing mail did not. First I tried to set the email up using the settings from my current Email Client (ThunderBolt)

and get a Authentication / Password / Signature/ Configuration error.

Then I tried the suggested settings from my provider and get the same error.

Below is my out going mail setup page. Its interesting to note that my current settings and those suggested by my provider are different.

Any help would be appreciated.

SSL/TLS connection security usually uses port number 465, try changing it. Or you may try setting STARTTLS connection security for port 587.

Hi
Thank you for your suggestion. I tried setting STARTTLS connection security for port 587 and SSL/TLS connection security usually uses port number 465 and get the same error: "Socket error #11001 Host Not Found error." Any other ideas? Thank You...

The error means there's no such an outgoing mail server. Probably you misspelled its name?
