Scaling image in a note with the mouse

Post by prosas »

Maybe I am missing something, but I think there is some inconsistency.
When I drag the corner of the image, I expect to scale image proportionally.

Word Wrapping is on.

Paste/insert image into note.

If image width is less than note pane width, then I can drag any corner of the image to scale it proportionally.
But because of word wrapping, image width is limited by the note pane width.
When the note width reaches the note pane width, for some reason proportional scaling turns off. At this point I can accidentally drag the corner a bit down increasing only the height of the image and break the proportions.
Then I can't fix the proportions with the mouse. Need to go Image > Properties > Size and check "Scale proportionally".

I think dragging the image corner should not break the proportions in any case.

More annoying thing.

Paste/insert image into note.
Image is large. Image width is more than the note pane width.

After pasting/inserting it looks like the word wrap has no effect on the image.
Image is large. I can see only left side of the image because there is no horizontal scrollbar.
Now I cannot drag the corner to scale down the image.
If I just touch the corner, word wrapping comes into effect immediately.
Image width suddenly is scaled down to the note pane width.
But not proportionally. Image height stays the same. Image becomes badly stretched vertically.
After inserting large image, the only way to scale it down is to go directly to image properties.

I think if word wrapping suddenly is scaling the image, the scaling should be proportional.
