Shortcut CTRL+Shift+I does not work.

Post by VictorParkerPIM »

The shortcut CTRL+Shift+I to show all Stickies seems to not work or I'm missing something.
When I have a Sticky Note pinned and I click X to hide it, I would think CTRL+Shift+I would show it again.
It didn't work in 11.2.5 ether. Does anyone else have the same problem?
Thanks,
P.S. I have changed it to other shortcuts and they don't work either.

I have a similar problem with the Ctrl+M and Crtrl+Shift+M shortcuts in Notes. Rather than indent, Ctrl+M activates the Recently Modified filter in the Notes tree. Crtrl+Shift+M brings up a new email message.

Using EPIM v11.5 Beta 1 Pro Portable.

For a sticky note, clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner "un-sticks" it. You can verify this by checking on the status on the sticky note (right click on its name).

Thanks DG & ecsaltz for the reply.
When you hover over the X it says Hide, that does not mean Exit the sticky.
When the note is pinned it's not suppose to Exit the sticky just hide it so it can be shown anytime with CTRL+Shift+I.
I can't find anything that CTRL+Shift+I does.
p.s. I rechecked, and I don't think it matters if it's pinned or not.
I think it's suppose to Exit only when the icon in upper left top is clicked.

Ah, I didn't wait for the hover hint to appear, and you're right, it does say "hide". But by the way the icon functions, I think it's a matter of semantics, by "hide", I believe the developers meant "unstick" the note. At least, that what action appears to happen, and why it can't be made visible by CTRL+Shift+I.

The Ctrl+Shift+I shortcut will bring up the available sticky notes to foreground if they are currently hidden under other apps windows. Once you close (hide) a sticky using the X button, you'd need to make it sticky again in order to be able to see it on the desktop (ecsaltz is correct here).

DG, you may need to exit EPIM, delete the EPIM.ini file, then start EPIM again and the shortcuts should start functioning as expected.

Sorry my mistake, but I think there should be a way to bring it back without having to select the note and make it sticky again.

If you'd like it to stay sticky, why not to have it minimized on the desktop instead of closing it?
