Use of GSM codes saved in contacts

Post by marmegint »

Hello!

Phone numbers can be saved with a GSM code prefix.
For example, to enable or disable the phonenumber display (*31#+phonenumber).
However, this is not possible (don't work) in AEPIM.

Is there a possibility, or how can this be solved?

My phone is:
AEPIM v6.0.11
Andoid 9, Build 55.0.A.10.26
Sony Xperia 1

Thank you.

Hello!

The phenomenon has been around for a long time, in the case of previous versions and even now.
We would like to request that this be corrected!

In the AEPIM a phone number saved like this looks like this:

*31# +36 30 123 4567

Parts of the line:
GSM code: *31#
Country code: +36
District number: 30
Phone number (example only): 123 4567

It does not work when dialed it with AEPIM.
Copying the whole thing to the dailer of the telephone, the dialering is good.

In AEPIM only numbers stored without a GSM code (+36 30 123 4567) can be dialed successfully.

My phone is:
AEPIM v6.0.14
Andoid 9, Build 55.0.A.10.26
Sony Xperia 1

Thank you.

There is only one method available to transfer the number to the system dialer on Android OS, and we are currently utilizing that method. However, it appears that some system dialers are unable to handle this request properly, resulting in the issue you are experiencing. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and are working to find a solution or alternative approach to address this problem.
