Advanced Search
Search queries by category, mail account and mail folder in EPIM 11.8 return incorrect results in the Advanced Search.
I have often noticed that the searches, filters, sorting and grouping in EPIM sometimes do not return correct results. I suspect this is due to the constantly changing database structure and that the queries have not been adapted accordingly. For examples, i recommend running the advanced search and checking the results.
Perhaps you will be able to correct the advanced search at some point so that it delivers correct results and we can work with it.
Thank you

Re: Advanced Search
Please provide a couple of specific examples where the advanced search function does not work as expected. We couldn't reproduce that on our end.

Re: Advanced Search
Some examples:
- Search for emails in an account returns a much higher number of hits than emails available
- Searching for content in the Received folder in all email accounts does not return complete results
- Searching for emails in the trash in all accounts returns no results
If I were to test further, I could certainly provide more examples. But as I have already stated, the query algorithms in searches, filters, sorting and grouping are not correct and I don't have the time for a concrete search for errors, especially as the possible queries and the specific data searched are not named. And the result from their side will be again - there is no search in this data. Unfortunately, improvements are promised that are ultimately not kept - regrettable. I sometimes get the impression that there is currently no clear concept for EPIM - the main thing is new features.
Maybe you should just try out different scenarios yourself.

Re: Advanced Search
Could you please create a short video demonstrating the issue? We haven't been able to reproduce it on our end so far.

Re: Advanced Search
If the three searches I mentioned do not cause any problems with your database and the results could be verified, then it must be my database again, although I have just completely reinstalled EPIM - including the database. I do this after every change to EPIM's database structure to avoid getting so many error messages.
Re: Advanced Search
Below you will find two screenshots and if you check the result of the advanced search "closely", you will see that the search and the result do not match at all. By the way, the message texts of the e-mails do not contain "papier" either. It is clearly recognizable that the query returns "no" correct results. The same applies to the filters for the "To" and "From" fields in the e-mail list. As already indicated, it probably has to do with the constant changes to the database structure and ever new filter options that are not properly integrated into the overall system?

Re: Advanced Search
Please temporarily switch EPIM's interface language to English before taking screenshots. Thanks.

Re: Advanced Search
Some time ago I already made some suggestions for data management and the corresponding filters and searches.
