Appointment dates keep changing

Suddenly, I can's easily set or edit appointments. Per the attached three screenshots. The appointment can't be edited to add a day. start date shows "6/21" with an end date of 6/27". I want it to be from "6/21" to "6/26", but if I change the end date to "6/26", the start date changes to "6/20". So, I dleted the appointment and attempted to create a new on with a duration of 6 days. When I look at the duration pull down, the list of duration choices are 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 7 days,10 days, and 14 days. I kinda feel lost here. I'm even having trouble setting up a 3 hour appointment.

Any insights would be greatle appreciated!

You have enabled the "keep duration" option (as shown in the screenshot). Click on it to disable. In this case, your end date will be independent of the start date when editing the event.

I must have clicked it by accident. I've never used it before.
