12.0.6 Popups - EPIM Can't Chk for Updates

EDIT 11/20/24: Realized I hadn't seen a popup at Opening for awhile and tried Manual Help / Chk for Updates.
It's NOW working again correctly for some Unknown reason.
A random problem with Paint.net resulted in a suggestion to Disable Unchecky App (I uninstalled it) and THAT could be the reason. Had it 5+ years with no issue, though.

EDIT 11/14: A desktop problem forced a Macrium Image back to 11/12 and I had to Re-do the Win 10 Cum Update and Upgrade EPIM to 12.1 FROM the Dnload Page that opens when the Cannot Auto-Chk Updaates POPUP occurs. 1st time I had an Update available Popup and Upgraded from THAT. This morning the Chk Updates Blocks have Returned....... WHY 12.1 WORKED before and NOT NOW is the mystery.... I'll live with this awhile and decide what to do....

EDIT 11-13: The Update to 12.1 netted Help / Manual Chk for Updates - There are no updates available Vs Popup prior. Only 3 openings so far but No Popup yet. Presume 12.1 IS the SOLUTION.

Twice today and once recently I get this popup - App Works OK but Browser opens to Download page each time.
Close & Open does NOT repeat the popup.
EDIT: On 2nd Close and Open After Popup it just happened again.
PLS NAME which Log IF needed.

Will it work as expected if you manually check for updates by navigating to Help -> Check for Updates?

Can't Chk Updates popup occurred at Today's First Open of EPIM / Sleep overnight Vs Off ....
11/8 afternoon ....So far Popup = 4 times today ...
SEEMS I'm the ONLY one with this so get to it when able ... I'll continue on as is ....
Note: The confusing thing is that the - Connect Timed Out - popup happens really Fast after Clk-to-Open App Vs 5+ seconds and Then it occurs.

HOW would you confirm - Which App and Which Line member of That App - is Blocking --the Update Checker member of EPIM's App ... Sometimes?
EPIM.exe OPENS - it's Just THAT Update member that has the issue.
THIS issue is less than a week old and ESET - Mbam Update All of the time.
I haven't added any App in this short period, but I'll know what Dark Matter and Energy are before I know what to do here..

Firewall settings may be interfering with EPIM's ability to connect to the update server.

Support Tkt opened today at ESET to chk IF their FW is connected to this issue.

Will go to Mbam after ESET answers.....

Sppt emailed KBs for Detection Exclusion and FW Rules.
I Detection Excluded the Entire Program File(x86) Folder = Popup still.
I made a FW Rule for -- EssentialPIM.exe - Allow Both ways and - ANY - for Local and Remote Hosts & Ports = Popups Still.

Sppt suggested UNINSTALL .... to PROVE if ESET is Involved = Popups Still = Not the cause.

DOES CONTROL PANEL UNINSTALL work for this .... OR MUST I go thru Dnload Uninstaller,AND deal with maybe Losing Netwk Drivers & Settings, and Safe Mode Uninstall, etc.

Temporarily disabling the firewall may help resolve the issue (there's no need to uninstall it). Please note that the Windows firewall might also be interfering in this case.

Sorry that this-- last Un-Install post -- was meant to be IN the ESET Forum.... Forgot where I was.
Disable ESET ... didn't work as ESET Sppt implied .... without Full Un-Install.
W10 states ... Win FW is NOT active per ESET being active.
The FW of someone's ISP is never mentioned - I recently went from AT&T Uverse Ethernet-to-Gateway connect to AT&T Internet Air 5 GHz Wireless HUB - BUT - presume THAT fact and HUB FW are not in play here.
Since THIS just started last week ... Someone's Update is the only logic I can think of....
I'll re-post over at ESET on easiest OK Un-Install method to get ESET out of the picture..
