Hi,

Since the latest update, I'm getting this when I attempt to connect to either of my email addresses

Socket Error # 10049 cannot assign requested address


EPIM - EssentialPIM Pro 12.14 (Build 1035)

Lifetime subscription


I have tried running EPIM as admin. Same issue.

This may be related to network configuration issues. Do you still experience the problem? If so, we'll need more details, like your mail account type and mail server configuration.

It no longer can get email if I've got my VPN switched on.

I turned the VPN off and it's started working again

Still getting this on both machines.

If the VPN is on then email no longer works (2 email addresses both fail). If the VPN is off then it works.

Verified sending/receiving email with VPN on/off from a different mail program and that works fine regardless of the VPN being on or off..

Only started since the last update..

Which VPN are you using? We may need to run some tests with it to determine the cause of the issue.

I believe we've identified the cause of the issue. It should be resolved in the upcoming EPIM 12.2 Beta2 version, which is scheduled for release in a couple of days. I'll update this thread to let you know when it's available for testing. Thanks!

UPDATE: Here's the download link for EPIM 12.2 Beta2: https://www.essentialpim.com/download/b ... PIM122.exe. Please download and install it (it will be installed alongside your current EPIM 12.1.x version, so there's no need to uninstall anything). Let us know if this resolves the socket error when using VPN. Thank you.

Hi,

I installed and tested the Beta and got the same error

Paused Nord VPN and it works immediately

Thank you for testing this out! To help us investigate further, could you please share the log file containing the error? Here's how to locate the log file:
go to Tools -> Options, select "Logs Folder", look for the file beginning with "Mail".
