Highlight current day better in calendar

Currently, in the month view of the calendar module, the currently active day is highlighted by just a single line on the top. Would it be possible to highlight that day more by having a full square all the way around the day rather than just the single line. Also the line could be a bit thicker. This would make the currently active day stand out better. Also, I wish the Go To Today button was highlighted more, maybe by having it colored and a bit bigger. Thank you for your attention. I really appreciate your program and use it constantly!

i like the new mark of today as underline, its an improvement to quick find.
its better than the old frame thing, (better could only be a colored circle without other fill, but not square frame.)
its nice to find now, you fix the line with eyes and see/read directly the number.
i didnt tested yet a circle, but found the line, during writting these lines, better.

the today could maybe have a thin frame to quick focuse the button and/or recognize the clickable area of it not need to hit the middle. that would be kinda nice and efficient, i think.

took a look and have optimization...
the today button should have thin frame and maybe bigger text, as i noticed its smaller than font size in same menu.
dont forget centered text in button, i think how this whole menu could get centered or custom positioned.
i will change the title of the suggestion about menu centering to customize position, you may oversaw it today.

I'm with Robert, I don't like the line. For me it's also not enough to find the current day quickly. I would prefer a square around or the day filled with another light color, like light-blue or lilght-grey as it is in the selected day.
PS: I'm speaking of Windows desktop EPIM

ups, i had today and choosed day on same.
if not the underline color changed and i would see possibly improvement potential but
need to first check new V., as i hope (dark) theme can follow sys, as to bright and so contrast not optimal.
but in general i would prefer to adjust/select the color of today and choosed day mark.
but i can say that i would appriciate very much to may set the colors of both, today and selected but that could be done together with the customization of theme, which i have to check if progress in 12.2.1, like sys follow theme.
i get on that soon.

For me it should be a little more than just one line also. Options would be, for example, to border the entire cell or invert it (the top one with the Date written). Or highlight the entire column of the current day with a border or in a subtly different tone, similar to Outlook, or both together - so I'm with Ivy's suggestions.

If, as AJ suggested, you could of course set these options yourself, that would be the best solution - so everyone can individualize it for their own needs

The single line denoting "Today" definitely needs improvement: any of the preceding suggestions would be a huge improvement. The "Today cursor" on weekly view with the calendar full size on a 34 inch monitor is very difficult to find.

aurio got me to optimal solution!
you choose between actual underline, frame, circle w. colored frame, colored point or colored rectangle and can set the color yourself.
thats optimal as i could try out which is optimal, now i need most to change the color, thats real pain.
i'm kinda used to the underline, only need edit color of today and selected day.
i could think that for huge monitor it could be nice to have vertical line on left of whole actual mini calendar, but that should be only by activated!

ecsaltz, you could at least find easier if pull the mini calendars on the left to focus position/hight to locate the month quick. that should do the most.
