Default Browser

Post by keiffer »

Hi,

Since this app needs to have IE as the default browser, does anyone know of an app that would quickly switch the default browser? I think I'm going to grow weary of having to manually switch every time I want to print something out. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, has anyone ever used an app that required IE to print something out? Just wondering.

Thanks.

Hello Keith.

do you use 2.0 release? What happens if IE is not your default browser?

I use Firefox as my default browser and have no problems printing.

I do applaud the 2.1 goal of getting rid of IE for printing. It is far to limiting and prevents customization by software developer.

I'm using release 2.0 on my desktop at work which is running Windows 2000. I use Avant for my default browser. It somehow sits on top of IE.

When I do a print preview, a new tab opens in Avant but nothing comes up. An error box appears in the background which states "Unspecified Error".

At home I use Opera on Windows XP Pro and the same thing happens.

If you are going to get rid of the IE dependancy, I can live with it for now.

Thanks.

Hello Keith,

yes, we going to get rid of IE. In your case Avant causes problems and also Windows 2000 is not officially supported by EPIM.
