EPIM Pro on Linux

Post by ayjayh »

I am trying to move completely to Linux (Ubuntu) but the one thing I can't give up from Windows is my EPIM Pro. :?

I am using Crossover Linux for several other Windows programs but can't get EPIM to work.
When I install EPIM on Crossover everything goes ok and I get to the opening screen where it asks for my registration code. I enter my code and it says "Validation Code ok" and then it disappears. Clicking on the desktop shortcut does nothing at all from there on.
Has anyone else succeeded in get EPIM to work on Linux?

Pro version uses a complex copy protection system, thus it might be not working on Linux. But Free should work fine.

Reported to work with CrossOver

Post by Kefas »

Another user reported getting the portable version to run under linux using CrossOver Office - and it has also turned out to work for me (EssentialPIM Pro Portable 2.2 / Gutsy Gibbons). So this is probably worth looking into.
