EssentialPIM 3.0 Public Release Candidate 3

Hello everyone!

We very close to the final release of the EssentialPIM 3.0 and are announcing Public Release Candidate 3. This means, unless we find a bunch of problems, we will release a final version within weeks.
Pro version uses the same license as 2.8 does. Please backup your databases before testing. Once database is upgraded, you can not open it in 2.x version.

So, good luck in testing!

- now those who are over 99 can also have Birthday reminders

U3 version is not yet available. You can only install non-U3 Portable version.

The only thing you still have to do is PDA version.

EPIM can synchronize to PDA, but we have no plans to offer PDA version itself.

Could you please post is a separate topic with more details? So far can not reproduce.

Заметил следующие проблемы в версии 3.0 RC3:

1. Если в письме (в текстовом или html без разницы) попробовать выделить текст и скопировать, то в буффер копируется полный текст письма, а не выделенный кусок.
2. Если сделать копипаст письма в html-формате в заметку то все форматирование пропадает, идет просто plain text, хотя если копировать из Интернет Эксплоера то форматирование сохраняется.
3. Не работает "Отметить как непрочитанное".

Кстати почтовик весьма приятный, но стоит поработать над реализацией удобного поиска. А также экспорт сообщений сделать не только через меню Файл, но и непосредственно на отмеченном(ых) письме через контекстное меню по правой клавише мышки.

И еще пару просьб по заметкам.
1. Сделать в настройках опцию: "Отображать/Неотображать всплывающее окно при наведении курсора на заметку" - лично мне данная фишка только мешает, плюс к тому если заметка достаточно объемная еще и подтормаживает машину.
2. Сделать возможным вставку горизонтальной линии (аналог <HR>) через иконку на панеле инструментов и через горячую клавишу, например CTRL + -
3. Сделать в контекстном меню, вызываемом по правой клавише мышки если курсор наведен на гиперссылку выбор: Copy URL to clipboard.
Пунктов 2 и 3 очень нехватает в работе.

Если создать несколько почтовых ящиков, а потом один удалить, то при нажатии на Отправить/Получить удаленный ящик все равно отображается в окошке получения почты.

OS: Win XP x32 SP3
Версия EPIM: free
1) Не удалось сконвертирвать старую (2.81) базу. Сообщение об ошибке: "Validation error for column IDLIST, value "*** null ***". При повторном старте база открылась, но в "Ежедневнике" исчезли все повторяющиеся задания кроме одного.

2) В стандартном окне (800х600?) при типе просмотра "неделя" надпись "Ежедневник" налазит на первую дату (начало недели). Выглядит это весьма некрасиво. При полнокранном окне (1024х786 в моем случае) все ОК.

It is seriously annoying that you do not name the downloadable files to reflect the current version. I erroneously overwrote my old portable folder because there was no way of telling the difference between the new and old one (I just unzip and go about my business) - this would not be so much of an issues if it wasn't for the fact that my backed up database will not open in the newest RC.

Any input on how I can obtain access to previous versions with which my database will (hopefully) work? The naming policy means, I am not sure which version I used before...

Update: I can deduce from release dates that I was probably using 3.0 Beta 2 (also, there was the bug with reminders not working properly.)

Do you mean ToDo are displayed in Schedule module? PLease go to ToDO module, do Hide Completed and then return to Schedule. You should not see completed ToDos there.

I am sorry, are you a member of the Beta team?
I suppose so, otherwise you would not get RC 2. It is always recommended for Beta testers to backup your database before using on Beta version. Your 2.81 database should open fine in RC 2 or RC 3. If it does not,- it is a bug and I would like to hear in a separate topic about this.

Yes, I am a member of the Beta team. My problem, however, was not not backing up the database - it was accidently deleting the release of the software I was using before (3.0 Beta 2) without having a backup (usually keep a backup of both the software and the database). I'd file a bug, but not sure what to post...
