EssentialPIM 3.5 Release Candidate 1

Hi everyone,

today we are releasing 3.5 with several major and many minor new features. This is a Public Release Candidate 1.

New Features:

- Global cross linking (make link to other item from anywhere)*
- Rich text formatting in Schedule and other items*
- Google Contacts Synchronization*
- Spell checking in Mail
- Importing Outlook mail
- Google Apps now supported (Calendar and Contacts)*
- 2-week view in Schedule
- Search and Replace dialog in Notes
- Possibility to insert Horizontal Line in Notes
- Total time display for ToDos (bottom line)
- New system for reminders in ToDo module
- Days are highlighted in a small calendar
- EPIM now shows in which versions database was opened (in Database Management)
- Automatic checking for new versions

Hi Max,
What a nice job. No problem whatsoever opening database with this release and finaly, contacts in alphabetic order when clicking on TO: when sending new e-mail. For all the other improvements, what can I say, there just GREAT. This is one of the best investment I ever made.

Hi Max,
I´m trying EPIM 3.5- no errors until now!

It seems to be more stable than the previous version.
1) Some remarks: after opening the database with 3.5 it can´t be opened with 3.23 anymore.
2) In "search and replace" the text (name) or icons on the tab is missing

When this version proves stability for longer time, then this will replace my current PIM and mail solution!

1- this will always be so. We upgrade database to add new features and previous version does not understand it
2- UPDATE. Looks like you did not renew the language file.

Not yet. When we release RC2 or final version, EPIM Sync will work with it.

Thank you for the new version! I've just almost decided to buy it

Some notes:
1. I was a bit disapointed having found out that there's no possibility to set multiple tags (colors) to tasks/notes. I hope it will be soon. If it's difficult to realize quickly you could add an advanced search which allows AND and OR operations (thus we'll be able to point out what about our note or task is and use search instead of filtering: for instance, I can title my task as 'Phone John [tags: business, project1, phone]' and use search phrase like 'business AND phone' in order to see this task in results).
2. I tried you program at my friend's pc and it showed me an error when I was trying to save/open my database. It was saying that I have some debugger on my computer

3. It would be nice to see a DATE field for notes and a possibility to sort out a notes list as well as tasks list.
4. Emails gouped by topic/sender - still looking forward to

For example? In any case (but I do not think that's the case)- EPIM 3.5 makes a backup of your 3.2 database, so you will always get your data in 3.23
