hide modules from the left-side menu

hide modules from the left-side menu
what:
I would like to be able to hide some of the modules from the left-side menu.
why:
I never use some of the modules (e.g. "Notes" and "To do") and I would like to declutter my screen by hiding them.
importance:
*should be available to set from preferences (settings) | *this is not of urgent importance to me | *this may be useful to everyone |

Re: hide modules from the left-side menu
There are two options already available;
The first one does not hide them, but does "declutter" your screen. Click with the mouse at the top (divider) of the modules, below the actions, and drag the divider down. Then all modules get minimized and will be displayed on one row.
The second option is really hiding the buttons, BUT also removes them from selecting them through the menu bar or shortkeys. To deselect and (for as long as you wish) remove these modules you have to go to the TOOLS MENU,
then select OPTIONS, select the second section = MODULES, remove the selection from the modules you do not use and they won't be available any-more and of course these lines are not shown in your modules bar any-more.

Re: hide modules from the left-side menu
PeCe is right, but there is one more, third option- View-> Navigation Pane- that hides the left panel at all (some users only use shortcuts to perform actions and switch between modules)

And there's the quickest of all - right click

Re: hide modules from the left-side menu
Right click also removes module name from other menus. E.g. I don't use e-mail and don't see e-mail options in Tools > Options. If you hide Notes, option New Note is not available.
This is pretty clever.
But... The selected modules are associated with program options not with database. Databases that contain not the same set of modules will not remember what to show. Instead the program window shows always the last configuration.

Yes, that's the way it works currently. Will think about making this feature a database-specific one, like you suggested. Thanks!
