Separate calendar and contact list

I would like to recommend that there be an option to allow for a separate Calendar and Contact list other than the built “ Gmail “ so that the sync would only be with a dedicated EPIM calendar. I particular don’t care if I can see the calendar in Gmail I just want a copy of the calendar with me that is reliable. I would think if it used its own dedicated calendar that all the sync issues would go away? I have tried the sync myself and was very unhappy that it screwed up my contacts and the Gmail calendar. It would make good since to have the option just to use an imbedded or dedicated calendar/contacts list that is part of the app for the sync. I have been using EPIM for about 10 years and I would say if the mobile sync issues are not resolved soon I will have to find a different solution.

thank you, suggestion noted. However, we usually like to address the issues themselves, rather than isolating by making new calendars.
