EPIM Network Calendar
I am using EPIM on firebird network. I was doing updates on my calendar on the machine that has the firebird server. When I check my laptop the updates are not there. The updates I was doing was eliminating duplicates from syncing with outlook. This is becoming more trouble than I need. I have a lifetime version on my main computer and network lic. On my laptop I have a network lic number and I just purchased another EPIM pro lic number. Both computers have the 5.5 version.
Can you straighten me out? I have no problems with outlook but of course it's not being networked. By the way as far as I can tell my notes and contacts seem to be the same and both epim programs are connected to the same database. The paths to the database are identical on the firebird server
Thanks in advance
Paul

Re: EPIM Network Calendar
It is impossible to help you without additional information. Best would be screenshots of your database paths on both machines and screenshots of data (missing data) on both machines.

Re: EPIM Network Calendar
Hi Max I have tried to upload pictures of my calendar and database paths. If you notice the name Ken Jahnson is on the laptop twice but on the dwesktop once. The first part of the year seems ok but starting in June the duplicates are there. I might have a corrupt database or something. Not sure.
Thanks for you patients, I am not a computer wizard here, just trying to make things work

Re: EPIM Network Calendar
Thank you. What is the inconsistency on these two machines? What calendar events?
Re: EPIM Network Calendar
If you notice on the first calendar there is duplicate names. This is the calendar I pull up on my laptop.
The second calendar is on my desktop. The desktop is also the server machine. I took the duplicate names off on my desktop but they still show up on my laptop
The path on the firebird server points to the same database the computers are logged into

Re: EPIM Network Calendar
Just to add to the other things, when I signed of the EPIM bulletin board I had this message on my screen

Re: EPIM Network Calendar
Thank you, I can see that. Maybe you have switched off some categories for showing on one of the computers? View-> Show categories
Can you also make screenshot from both machines of following screen: File-> Database management

Hi Max
I think you got me straightened out. I had a category set wrong. The calendar is now the same on both computers.
Thank you very much.
For the record I think you have the quickest and best customer service response I have ever seen and I have tried and used lots of software trying to end up with what works best.
