EPIM Pro 6.06 Google authen key prompting
Using EPIM Pro 6.06 on Windows7 x 64 Pro. Is anyone else seeing EPIM prompting you to enter a Google Authentication key multiple times? I seen it after installing the upgrade and now just now. It went away again after I entered the key that Google had generated.

It should not prompt multiple times. I would suggest deleting the Google synchronization and creating it again.

I'm also getting the same problem as the OP, I've deleted he Google sync and re-created it but it makes no difference. Every time it tries to sync I get a popup window asking for the code

There was a silent update, which may have addressed the issue for you.

I haven't seen the issue for a while and did not do anything to fix it that I know of.

I am having the same problem. This occurs from 1 to 4 times a day.

So far we have not heard any massive complaints about 6.06 in regards to Google, so far I tend to think it is some kind of localized problem.
6.05 Google synchronization may stop working at some point due to Google making significant changes to synchronization API. 6.06 addresses that.

Have the same Problem.
Re-Installed 6.06 but Snyc-Problem still occurs. Syncwindow asks for getting New Sync-Code from Google. Every try it appears again. Sync doesnt complete and key seems not to get saved.

Are you using Portable version? In this case, I suggest installing Desktop version for a test and see if it works (I suspect some problem for a Portable version to save data)KarstenS wrote:Have the same Problem.

Nope, using DesktopVersion Pro 6.06.
Connected my Smartphone (Sony Xperia Z) with Google also, but dont think thats the problem.
Sync Calender works one way. The Google-Data is now back in my Calender, but when it comes to "saving Calender" the "Request New Key" pops up.

regarding re-requesting the key- we need extended logs for the 2 synchronizations where EPIM asks for the code each time.
In this case we could fix it quite fast.
Please enable the extended logging feature (in Tools->Options->Synchronization), start the Google synchronization- that requests the code. Enter the code, then start again so that it requests the code.
Logs are in C:\Users\ Your_Windows_Username \AppData\Roaming\EssentialPIM Pro\Logs for Desktop version and in "Logs" subfolder in case of Portable version.

I never encountered this problem before. It started with the 6.06 release, no doubt about it. Is anybody trying to fix this? The problem now occurs 6-8 times a day and really bad if you have an intermittent network connection. I bought and use this product primarily for the sync function because the Thunderbird version stinks. From reading the posts it does not appear that anyone thinks this is a real problem. If no one is going to fix this, please post that fact so we can find an alternative.

kweiss00, we are willing to fix it very quickly, but, we need your help. Please read my previous post in this same topic that describes how you can help us. If we get the 2 logs as requested above I can promise a fix within 2 weeks max (or faster).
