Related Items Tab in Contacts
Playing around in 6.51, I like what I see so far, but a suggestion for the Related Items tab in Contacts. Currently it shows the item and a date, but the date is the hyperlink creation date. It would be nice to see also the event date without having to hover over the event to see the "details". Making the date columns sortable would be a nice feature also.
Thanks and keep up good work.

Re: Related Items Tab in Contacts
Related Items do not work properly.
I have a Note titled John Smith, and the adequate Contact. Nothing in Related Items in the Contact.
The other way - works. The Note shows the Contact.

Re: Related Items Tab in Contacts
To test Related items, please make a hyperlink in Notes to a Contact. Then, go to a Contact's Related items tab. You should see the Note. Does it work?

Re: Related Items Tab in Contacts
Hi Max,
Yes, thanks, it works, however you could fix it, as making manually all the links rather does not improve anything, an user can make them anyway, without Related Items, putting links into notes in Contacts and in other modules.
Also, if we are talking about suggestions, there could be an option within Related Items (RI) to add them and remove manually. That is: firstly, it is done automatically, by finding RI. But then an user might want to remove some of those found ones or add some which are not automatically related.
Cheers,
Piotr

Re: Related Items Tab in Contacts
Since we're talking wish list here....
When entering a New Appointment in the calendar , instead of having to make a link to a contact, why not add a Contact drop-down menu to the New Appointment screen that would allow you to select the contact(s) from your database (with an option to add a new contact?) that are involved in the appointment. Easier and quicker than making a link, and more likely to not be overlooked. You would then have all your appointments with a contact viewable at a quick glance when you look up the contact. You would still have the ability to link other items like you can now.
Any thoughts?

Re: Related Items Tab in Contacts
Agree. At the moment linking a calendar entry to a contact works like linking to a file or another database etc. with full path. So connecting a calendar item to a contact would be a different mechanism - no link but a relationship.

Re: Related Items Tab in Contacts
I must say that an internal link to a contact, in the title of an event/appointment, works fine because for the phone call we need to hover the mouse over the link to see the phone. We do not have to open the full contact to call.
So drop down list for placing a contact in the title of an event is fine if it works fast, like a search.

Re: Related Items Tab in Contacts
We are working on ways to make hyperlinking easier, that might appear in next major update.
