EPIM on Android

Post by cowboy45 »

I am attempting to use an android tablet to sync with my computer via dropbox.
It works between computers quite well, BUT

I have dropbox and EPIM both installed on the tablet, both appear to work BUT:

How do I tell EPIM where to find the file? The file is there,I just can't find the "open" command.

Help?

Android EssentialPIM will not sync with Dropbox, only with Google services (Calendar and Tasks) and Windows EPIM.

I got it to sync without dropbox, and it looks right, but does it do it automatically, or do I need to tell both the PC and android to sync each time there is a change?

Are there any plans to incorporate Dropbox support for Android?

PC and Android sync needs to be initiated manually from within Android EPIM. If you sync with Google services, it happens automatically.

Support for Dropbox is not possible on Android due to different database file structures on both Windows and Android versions, unfortunately.

Disappointing but understandable. It would be nice to be able to have some kind of mobile sync for when traveling. Keep the mobile and home pc updated automatically, you know? Not a fan of the google sync, although it would work in a pinch.
