Thanks, that's what we thought. There was not enough permissions for the app to write the log files (only on devices running Android 6.x). Please update to Android EPIM 4.2.4 and if the sync problem is still there, a new log file will be created. Please forward it to me.

Hey, that's it :D ! I only need to give writing permissions (for memory & telephone) in Android App setting for EPIM - and syncs works fine (via WiFi) on both devices. I'm happy! Thank you, admin, well done!
The only little issue left is, that in calendar module on my mobile phone, one or two custom colours for calendar entries were not synced (only not the colours; the item itself is well synced). I can live with that.
On my tablet, everything is perfect!
Time to purchase EPIMpro once again! :!:

I´m afraid I have the same / similar problem since update Epim Android 4.2.3 which is not solved in version 4.2.4. / Epim Win 7.1.1
I followed the recommendation mentioned in topic “EPIM PRO 7.1, 'Can not delete category "None"' during Sync.” deleting all data on the android and started a sync. This worked but only once.
Since that synchronisation of contacts and notice still works well but not synchronisation of calendar. Synchronisation starts but after a while stops with the same error massage reported above. Furthermore since January this year no new log file was created.
Now I have no more ideas what to try. Activating “erweiterte Logausgaben” in Epim Win and also changing Epim Android from system to SD card but without success (and no log file)
My current Android version is 4.4.2
I hope you can help me.

kiro, oh, good, glad it works for you now! :) With regards to the minor issue - do you mean custom categories will not always sync properly? If yes, will you be able to reproduce the problem with couple of new test categories?

anton09, if there's no log file on your Android device, please forward me the latest log from Win EPIM. Thanks!

Unfortunately, only the first sync on both devices worked. Now, the second sync breaks up with the usual error message.
But, because of the new Android app permission settings for EPIM, I've got the log files (which I've sent to you via PM).
Hope it helps, hope you'll find a final solution.

I also hope that my log file helps (sent by email because in PM it remained in the outbox)

With enabling the write permissions, the sync of the calendar seems to work again. Thanks for fixing it.

anton09, replied to you via PM. And don't worry about your messgaes being in the "Outbox" folder. This is how the forum software works - a message stays in the Outbox until a recipient reads it.

kiro, thank you, the error you have has already been fixed in one of the internal builds. A fix will soon be publicly available with the release of the new 4.2.x series version.

EssentialKURT, glad to hear! Although, if it happens to brake again, you know what to do :) Thanks!

Hmm, admin: will still there be a solution? You've written about a fix in Version 4.2.x. When is it available? Thanks.
And if this fix is published, I'm thinking about upgradig to Win V7.1X. Will the sync is more reliable with it?

kiro, please send me a PM if you wish to try the new release earlier, we will make a special build for you. Although, we plan to release a new 4.2.5 version publicly later this week.
Synchronization will surely be much more reliable :)

Are you still working on the issue of failed synchronisation? Also with Android Epim 4.2.5 I´m unable to synchonizise. Selection of only synchronisation of Contacts works well but selection of synchronisation of Calendar failed up to now (current Android Version is 4.4.2). Kind regards.

Is there any error message or synchronization still just hangs after some time?

No message by PC version. The Android Version gives only the general message: "EssentialPim" wurde beendet. The only thing I can do is to press the "ok"-button.
