Help with Sync Error please
Hello,
Sync stops and shows this error at the end of the log file:
2017.01.08 16:39:31.342 Client 192.168.0.6 disconnected
2017.01.08 16:39:31.342 Error: Access violation at address 01082576 in module 'EssentialPIM.exe'. Read of address 00000008
How can I fix this?
Thanks, Jason

Re: Help with Sync Error please
Please mention your Windows EPIM and Android EPIM version numbers. Thanks!

Re: Help with Sync Error please
I had a similar error to that recently, in my case it turned out to be caused by some specific notes that I had marked as Readonly / Private.
(I don't remember marking them as readonly, but they were pretty old and I'd been through several database upgrades and past sync configs before I started using the up to date version of Android sync)
Anyway, I switched readonly off on those notes and I think they went to public, then I made them private again. Sync worked fine after that.
I didn't report the bug as I put it down to weirdness updating an old database and I have been unable to reproduce the problem since, but maybe this will help you/someone.

Re: Help with Sync Error please
EPIM Pro Portable 7.21
EPIM Pro 4.5.1
I had the above mentioned error and also noticed that 30 of 50 (yearly repeating) dates had moved themselves forward in time by a day.
These weird sync errors happen often enough that I did what I always do...
Delete app data from phone, delete old / create new sync profile.
Not great as I lose some information.
Anyway, its "fixed"
Thanks, J

Re: Help with Sync Error please
tomrice, thanks for the info, will check the situation on our side.
jakerock, could you please tell us about when it happened that some of the events moved one day ahead? Was it right after you updated to the latest version?

Re: Help with Sync Error please
Im sorry but I just dont remember.
The sync error happened and I just stopped putting any data into the Android app for a couple of weeks until I could assess.
As great as EPIM is, I have a major sync or database issue a couple of times a year.
Thank you very much for your help, Jason
