Linux version

Re: Linux version
OK, a slightly less kludge-y kludge: use the free USB version under WINE (I extracted the whole business into my /home/(user) directory, and
wine "/home/(user)/(essentialpimfree-directoryname)"
to run the program, because I don't trust USB stacks, after having two of them die in the last six months). When I want to print a calendar with only certain appointments, I can select those (use the "ctrl+click" method to select multiple appointments), then check the "selected appointments" box in the lower left of the print dialog box.
Until the admins decide to undo this feature, it works (and it works in the 3.74 free USB version). I'm planning to keep a copy of the 3.74 install zipfile, just in case somebody gets Ideas.

Check out "Computers and Other Annoyances", a blog about... oh, just go check it out, already!
Re: Linux version
I too would be willing to pay for a Java program that would run on Linux. I think more people are switching to Linux as the releases get better all the time. My office runs fine using only Linux.
Re: Linux version
I would like to have EssentialPIM for Linux, too, because I'm going to install Ubuntu.
Re: Linux version
Hi everybody,
Just a short status since I'm planning to move to Linux (again
)... I am using Linux Mint 14 ("Nadia") Cinnamon edition.
I just installed wine and started using EssentialPIM 5.03 Pro portable edition without any problems, at least for now.
I will try using the database created and used on Windows up to now.
However, I'm glad that this time there were no problems that would make the software to crash.
