Re: EssentialPIM 3.2 RC2 attachments lost...
Hi - this is my first entry...
I have not found this on the bugs - but maybe someone can point me if there is an answer yet.
I have RC2 installed -I feel a bit of an idiot in that when RC1 was issued, being new I didn't twig that RC was a beta and I assumed it was an upgrade. Hence all my appointments began disappearing and when I tried my backups that happened also. I then went back to 3.12 and of course my data files wouldn't load - and in them was the link for getting RC2 - anyway I managed to find an older backup that did work.
1. The schedules are no longer disappearing - relief!though the colours are not working.
2. Most awkward is that emails are having their attachments stripped off - and apparently unrecoverable - any fixes or ways to recover them please?

Attachments are not stripped off. Just a symbol that attachment is present is not being shown. That will be fixed in Release Candidate 3.

Re: EssentialPIM 3.2 Release Candidate 2 (Public)
Hello,
I'm confused with the way how drag and drop of ToDo to Schedule works. If I drag a ToDo without a start and due date to the Schedule the start time comes from the place where I drop the ToDo. The problem concerns the Due date. Sometimes it becomes unchecked, another time it is checked with the same date or next day. The strangest thing is that if I click on the task in the Schedule and next I click on next empty day the due date chages to the next day. I didn't discover the rule.
My sugestion is to introduce:
right finger drag and drop - make a Task on the basis of information in the ToDo, default duration 0 min
left finder drag and drop - schedule the ToDo on the basis of start time and due date stored in the ToDo, if empty fill with the date/time from the schedule and duration 1 hour (for example)
Pleas consider it because usefull functions becames useless.
Best regards
Marcin

Did you mean "windows classic" or "XP classic (blue)" theme?ivg wrote:to petrsimanek
Most likely you're not using win xp classic style - thats where the new tabs look explicitly out of place.
I prefer Windows classic theme and always use it. IMHO there's no any "out of place" in EPIM tabs when using Windows classic theme.
RC2 has all borders "oversaturated" and I like it. I think that it's not a problem at all...ivg wrote:Oversaturated border color of the tabs is not consistent with the rest of the interface (toolbar borders etc)
I think this is stylish design feature and I like it too...ivg wrote:let alone the border has a gap ( is not connected with the frame it belongs too) which only add to the overly amateurish look.
Didn't find any of "gost borders". Double borders (of connected one each other tabs) don't look ugly to me...ivg wrote:plus I noticed other misfortunes with the new tabs.. like a gost borders, double borders and so on// look ugly indeed (pls do not get offended - just a few of constructive points)
I would like you not to switch back or just make an option...ivg wrote:so pls make our tabs look consistent or switch back old style tabs
I've compared 3.12 version tabs with 3.2 RC2 in windows classic theme and my opinion is that classic tabs are much ugliest than new.
(sorry for my English)
