For point number 4 - there's an option to bypass spam filtering for senders from your contact list.
Of Course I checked this option. But I have Astonsoft not on my contact list! So how could I set emails which are not on my contact list not to be spam?
This is exactly how it should work: mark senders (put on contact list) > contact list senders are not spam. The only problem you have to solve is, you should additionally let mark senders to a "not spam" list, which works the same as contact list.
There are many senders which you don´t want to be a contact, for example newsletters AND you nevertheless want to be NOT spam!
A simple positive IS SPAM and negative IS NOT SPAM list!

locke, you mean you would prefer the details view to be non-editable by default unless users click on the Edit button, for instance? While we could make that adjustment, I'm not certain how well-received it would be by our users?
a8907433, we see your point. However, there is currently no such mechanism in EPIM. The existing system, where users train their spam filter by marking spam emails as spam and non-spam emails in the spam folder as not spam, generally works well for the majority of users.

On clicking "create rule from message" there is the option: "Do not apply spam filtering"?
This in just one click option- wouldn´t this have the same effect as clicking "is not spam" the next time a mail from this sender comes?

Nope, these are completely different mechanisms. The first option instructs EPIM to strictly bypass spam filtering for the messages that meet the rule conditions. On the other hand, the second option trains the spam filter by providing it with data, enhancing its precision over time.
