It's strange but DBList shows there's only 1 database on each of your PPCs, while there're 13, for example, on our test handhelds.
Perhaps that's part of the problem. When I recently purchased my iPAQ, I did not install Outlook on my PC, even though it came on the CD with the iPAQ. My thinking was that I will not be using Outlook, but will be using EPIM instead. Calendar, contacts, notes and tasks applications are part of Pocket PC on the iPAC (Windows Mobile 5.0).

Should I install Outlook on my PC, sync, and then somehow disable Outlook and switch to EPIM?

Thanks,

exosceleton, please run the latest РРСtest and tell us whethere you'll see a list of contacts or not, after clicking on the Open button. If not, please forward us PPCTest.txt

tradertony, in theory EPIM PPC Sync shouldn't require any additional actions from the user's side. Everything's expected to work through ActiveSync like it is with Outlook.

BruceWebber, we doubt that Outlook could be a problem here.. Again in theory EPIM PPC Sync shouldn't be related to Outlook at all.

Bobvark1, exosceleton - thanks, databases were found on your devices.

BruceWebber, tradertony - thanks to you too but there're still no databases shown in the txt file. Here's another test for you. Please note it can take up to 2 or 3 minutes for the txt file to appear in the directory. The program will perform some advanced search for databases on your PPCs.

Hi. Sorry I've not posted in this thread for a while, I've been extremely busy this past week. Is there anything you want me to run on my PC to test? Do I just run the latest dblist that you posted?

dblist.txt from dblist3.exe

One thought occurs to me: on my device I have never added any contacts, appointments or tasks. Perhaps these databases are created at the time the first record is added.

Thank you all – you’re really doing a very good job! We can see the databases on your PPCs now.. But somehow the program couldn’t connect to them. Why? We don’t know, yet. Will have to think about that and maybe create another test then.

BruceWebber, don't worry the database is still there waiting for the first record :)

exosceleton, yes, please run the latest test too.
