open ics file to import

Post by ypim »

Problem:
I have a website and there its possible to get/download an ics-file.
I click on "add to calendar" on the site then I have to authenticate on this website, and finally the Firefox dialog for downloading and "open with" appears. There I can now select EssentialPIM and hit OK.
-> Nothing done. No new appointment in EssentialPIM.

Could you help me?

Yes, when Firefox downloads the file, do not open it. Just save to a place where you know the file is. And then use EPIM menu File-> Import-> Calendar-> iCal to import that file.

Is it possible in future that I don't have to save the file?
Import it in essentialpim.
Then delete the file.

That's not a nice workflow. ;-)

So far not clear if many people use this feature (importing iCal files)

I'm also interested for this feature.

Often I forward appointments as ics-file to my private mail account. If I simply could click on the ics-file to import it, this would be fine.
Until now I have to select the import dialog for each appointment :?

Kind regards!
