Path to Attachments in Notes
Whenever I try to open an attachments to a Note by double-clicking on it, I receive the message that path to the file cannot be found and "Unable to copy to temp file". I have to save the attachment, for instance on the desktop, in order to open it.
Any help appreciated.

Re: Path to Attachments in Notes
As Max points out, more information is needed to help you. For now it is pure guessing.
Are you using a network version now and are the drive-letters (access paths) for all systems the same? If not, then this will be a problem.
Did you use a portable version before and has the drive-letter changed (as can happen with removable media), than again this will be the problem.
Also I have to assume that you have included the attachments with external linking, not inserted the file into EPIM.
If the latter is the case, then the error message is very strange and for me difficult to explain/guess.
As said, in general it sounds like the attachments have been made from (for instance a C-drive) one drive and you are accessing it now from another (for instance D-drive) drive.
But again, we need more detailed information about the how, when, what etc. to give a better answer.

Re: Path to Attachments in Notes
All attachments were added "as files", not as links. This seems to be fixed in latest version 5.56, though.

Re: Path to Attachments in Notes
To attach files "as link" is not fully reliable, because of different drive letters, especially for EPIM Portable. I know this is problem of Windows system, not of EPIM program itself.
So for me it is much better to embed files directly into EPIM database.
But I have found one problem there:
When I edit an embedded filename.xlsx file, save and close the file, a dialog window appears with the question "File <filename-1.xlsx> was modified. Do you wish to update it in the database?" This is exactly what I expected, and after I confirm the dialog, the embedded file is really updated.
But after closing EPIM, there are still temporary copies of the embedded file remaining in the computer (for Desktop version somewhere like ...User\AppData\Local..., for Portable version in \Temp). These files could contain sensitive private data. I think these should be deleted at least when closing EPIM (better immediately after updated file is successfully embedded into EPIM database).
I would not say this is a bug, but I think it should be fixed.
Best regards
