Epim Pro advertising on Free Epim

I love EssentialPIM - or I did until I upgraded to 5.8 last night. There has always been a subtle plug for the Pro version, but with version 5.8 it's a large obtrusive object that sits just above the contacts search field top right, and if I overshoot the field to place the cursor in the search box a big info screen (splash screen?) drops down and hides everything. Can this be disabled? For now I've reverted to version 5.5 and disabled updates. I have always recommended Epim to friends, but won't now.

Hello,

the size of main screen advertising is the same as it was before. The only thing that changed is a pop-up that appears when you mouseover the advertising. This can not be disabled, as it is the only way for us to pay for Free version development.

Fair enough to me. I did a head to head comparison and there's really no significant difference between 5.5 and 5.8. Although I could be wrong.
