a mind mapping module

hi there, first of all congrats for your software.
My suggestion is to add a mind mapping module to the software, beside the mail, notes.... a very very useful mind mapping system like freemind or the others to record and connect everything that needs to be organized and tracked, and obviously sincronized with the alarm, mail, note still existing.

now i use a lot freemind cause it's free, but it's another software to install, learn..., having something similar inside epim would be a top feature, i think at least (and a lot of new code).

what do you think about it?

Thank you for the suggestion. It was suggested before. So far no certain plans for it.

thanks for your reply Max.
In my personal opinion, I found myself using a lot freemind to organize and keep track of my projects in a visual and very intuitive way, but still the most efficient and powerful, due to the fact that it's like designing what's happening in your mind, or what in your mind should happen. I was just thinking that a lot of EPIM users could find this feature very useful. They, maybe, just don't know about mind mapping software.
Thanks again.

I like the idea too. But I'm not too sure on how much resource is need to pull this off. Image

I'm also concerned about the databasefilesize. Text-Only is not using much space, but drawings have a higher space consumption.

So there is my suggestion:
let the user choice which features he would like to install or not.
I know, possibility is given to disable it in the settings.

Personally, I find software like freemind to be just a more complicated version of a good note app with trees & links... which EPIM already has.... just sayin'...

maybe it's personal, so it depends by every user.
In my opinion the mind mapping "graphical way" is more easy to understand, follow, remember and manageable, while the structured branch-leaf way is a bit hard and much less elastic.
In Freemind I'm working with a about 200 node structure and the file size is 70 kb, not so heavy...and there are a lot of features that you should love, like selecting 10 folders in your hard drive with your project files categorized, ctrl C, ctrl V on a Freemind node and it automatically creates 10 nodes with the same folder's name and that open the exact folder with one mouse click on the node...I think this is friendly...
