Pro 1.7 beta 1 some options not translated

Post by Wilco »

You did a good job on 1.7 Beta 1. I Like a lot of things!
Found a small translationmistake. Dutch lanquage. Options: the tabs security and notes are still in english. Other tabs are ok in Dutch.

Agreed!

That's quite normal until whoever does the translation gets hold of the new English language file.

Dutch translation

Post by Klaas »

Hello,

as translator to the dutch language i make several
choices when translating the file.
One is what is in dutch reasonable and understandable
for dutch users and covers the intention and purpose of an option.
Some words everybody understands like "preview".
In the second place is not everything i want to translate possible
in the space EPIM gives. Look at "EPIM Vandaag" at the right.
The menu options "Nieuwe To-Do", "Nieuw Contact", etc. just fit in the
given space. Change the translation and it don't fits anymore.
Or face an new problem elsewere in the program.

The translation of "assignee" is very difficult. A short translation
i don't know right now. Space for a long translation is not available.
I think everybody can imagine what "To assign" means,
english orientated as we dutch speaking people are. :)
But suggestions are welcome.

The translation to dutch is ready for v 1.7 RC1.
Corrected some minor faults and translated a lot of new options.
I hope you appreciate.

Regards
Klaas
