8.05 New Appts only show for one day and the Repeat Every day/wk/mo and Expire date choices don't matter - and disappear after a close and re-open.

A New Task appears 1-Day IN the Calendar and on the far rt Task Column - No Repeats as setup to test.
What do you need to research?

Still getting Some Blank Emails in wife's AT&T IMAP EPIM folder - but that's an FYI only -- and not The issue here.

E.g. "A New Task appears 1-Day IN the Calendar and on the far rt Task Column - No Repeats as setup to test." - make a screenshot of how you create a new task and how it appears after saving.
"I too cannot create recurring appointments in 8.05 EPIM Pro Life."- what exactly is happening- screenshot would give information.

Hello, I can confirm the same bug.

Let's create a new appointment, right-click on it then Edit... then set recurring properties (e.g. weekly every Wednesday, end after 10 occurences) then hit OK.
The appointment will still remain as only one-time appointment. No further occurences for next weeks, no "rotating arrows" symbol at the appointment.


It works fine in 8.1 beta 2, so I expect that it will be solved in the upcoming version.

I tried to create recurring appointment in 8.1 beta 2 and then copy / paste it into 8.05. It didn't work. The appointment became one-time one.
It looks that 8.05 does not recognize recurring events.

EDIT: 9/26 Per - petrsimanek's - OK NOW Post I won't Bump new threads for this but the Modified v 8.05 Now Repeats Appts correctly. Thanks!

Above shows Tasks & Appts 6/10 setup for 10 days; 1-Day shows;

Tasks Settings UN-Chg'd WHEN EDIT Clk'd.
Does Show in Calendar mean Place Task in the Date Box of Every day scheduled like Appts does?
THAT's my Presumption, although I use Tasks at about 3% of capabilities available & Not an issue for me.

Appts: Edit clk'd and the Repeat Box is Blank and the 6/20 expiration returned to Default 6/19

Please redownload and reinstall the 8.05 version, that should fix the problem.

Did Pro Portable get updated? EPIM file date still shows 19-Sep, which is before this conversation took place.

There was a silent update, please re-download and re-install, as adviced earlier.

I understand, but again, the file date of EssentialPim.exe inside of the zip file for Essential PIM Pro 8.05 is 19-September, 05:01pm. Since you state on 24-September that you will be fixing the issue ASAP, I don't see how a file from 19-September would have the fix included!

I cleared my browser cache just in case, and the same file keeps downloading. I used a different browser, and the same file is downloaded. I do not think that you have uploaded the new file for Portable Pro to your server.

jsc, you do not need to worry about date. Just download from https://www.essentialpim.com/get-epim (make sure it is file not from cache), unpack and repeating events will work there.

The Pro Portabe version didn't require to be updated, hence you see that particular date for the executable file.
