(Solved) ATT.NET Servers Authentication Failed
I recently started getting a million EPIM Send-Recv Progress Box popups with my wife's IMAP -- @bellsouth.net -- Mail Acct showing --- Authentication Failed - LOGIN Invalid Credentials ---- and the Name & PWd were working via Browser Login.
Turns out an old issue about AT&T upgrading Mail Security must have caught up with me as By Replacing the Passwords for Both IMAP (.att.net) Servers WITH a 16-Digit -- Secure Mail Key -- (How links below) the "Failed" Popups ended and the Newly RE-created EPIM Acct finally populated with Server stored Folders and Mail data. The Passwords are still good in other uses BUT apparently IN EPIM the Secure Key is required. It MAY have to do with AT&T adopting OAuth and THAT not being in EPIM's AT&T IMAP Acct Setup (IMAP4 or POP3).
I'm usually the only one in the galaxy with certain issues but this may help someone in the future.
