Login to Microsoft Office mail no longer works

A customer has given me my own e-mail address from his company which is hosted in www.office.com. For like ten days login into that account failed, though I did not change anything. Now the IT support of my customer informs me that Microsoft has changed the login procedure and that not all mail clients support this. Could this be true for EPIM, too? And if so, will it be patched?

My Outlook email also stopped logging in in the last few days as well.

I have a company email with custom domain but hosted at Office365 and it stopped working correctly with EPIM last week through IMAP.
I haven't changed the password, and login still works in both Outlook or the Web version, but EPIM fails.
Today I tried changing synchronization to either an Exchange account or Outlook.com, but these never really worked well for me for some reason. EPIM doesn't seem to memorize the password, and always asks me to login again, either at every startup or at every sync event, which is unpractical.

I'm using EPIM 11.1.6 on Windows 10 64Bits

Claudia you'd need to remove and then re-add your maill account back in using the OAuth authentication method (offered by default in EPIM now for Office 365 accounts).

duarte.framos, IMAP type of mail accounts may be disabled by the system administrators and in such cases we recommend switching to Exchange. As for the issue for not memorizing passwords - we don't have access to that info, this is again related to the OAuth authorization. If it's not working correctly, we'd like to get a test account, if possible to check that all out on our side.

I changed to OAuth now and it works, but it is now forgetting passwords like in my previous attempts. Every now and then I get a popup asking to log in again.

It is a work account, I don't think the IT department wood be so kind as to provide some throw away account, but I'll see if I can get one for testing purposes and let you know.

Thanks, we'd need it for a day or two the most, after that you could simply delete and forget it existed :)

I confirm that EPIM does not store Oauth2 credentials for a corporate account delegated to the outlook.com domain.

What actually happened was that I had been assigned an email adress of the format myname@customer.com, but the server was outlook.office365.com with the office-specific ports. For some reason or other, EPIM kept replacing that with smtp.customer.com or some such thing, again and again. Now it has given up on me, sticks to the correct server and the thing is working.

I had the same thing, turns out my version of EPIM didn't support Modern Authentication. I had some help from my [URL Removed]
