set columns width of contacts to optimum?

Having moved data to new device, I wonder how width can be set to optimum. I.e. column "email" is too small to display long adresses. I have set it to a width manually, that makes all adresses readable.
Could this be set automatically?

Simply double-click on the column separation line between the columns.
