Inbox doesn't update automatically ?

EPIM 11.5.3 Pro on Windows 11

I have EPIM connecting via IMAP, IDLE enabled, etc. and it polls on a fairly short interval:

I see the Send / Receive dialog pop up, it checks and it retrieves mail successfully. But new messages don't actually appear in the Inbox list until I click away to another folder, then back to the Inbox. EPIM gets the emails, but the Inbox display isn't being refreshed apparently.

For example, if the Inbox is highlighted I can click on any other folder, then on Inbox again and the message list will update to reflect the current situation -- But it doesn't do it on its own. This has been happening maybe for the last couple of updates, perhaps (not sure). Not a show-stopper but I do have to manually intervene to see the new messages it has retrieved.

Did a setting change? I haven't found anything?

Yes I have same problem. Been having it for years unfortunately. Other programs like Tbird and emclient work flawlessly in notifying on messages in my Gamil and Outlook inboxes. Hopefully this will get solved in EPIM.

Actually -- and I should've noted this -- it's not just the inbox. I have filters on my GMail account (at Google, not in EPIM) that route emails from specific senders (e.g., forum notifications, maillists, etc.) past the inbox and directly to their own folders. I have to manually click on those EPIM folders as well to make them refresh and update.

Edit - One other "non-updater" I've noticed is the Taskbar icon. It sports a badge when there's new mail, but continues to hold it unless I click away and back as elsewhere. Sometimes I have to click on another account in EPIM (presumably if the new mail was in another account) to get the badge to clear after the mail has been read.

I believe the situation has already been improved in EPIM 11.6 Beta. Let me know if you'd like to check it out earlier, before it becomes a final release.

If it's going to be a while before release I'll try the beta but if it's coming soon I'll just wait.

I think it could still take around a week, possibly two, until the final release is ready.

We are pleased to inform you that the Release Candidate version is now available for public access. It's important to note that this version is not the final release yet, but it is expected to have significantly fewer potential issues compared to the previous Betas.

I just tried 11.6 and the problem remains. A message in my INBOX did not show until I clicked another folder and then INBOX folder. The problem has not been solved. EPIM did not automatically recognize that I had a email in the inbox.

OK here is the log file.
I sent a TEST message from OUTLOOK to GMAIL and no notification from EPIM was received.

Thanks for the information. Could you please also provide us with a screenshot of the Account Settings, specifically the Server Settings tab?

Thanks for the screenshots. I've removed them since they contained personal information. Now, while we're investigating the problem, please try enabling the "Schedule an automatic send/receive every" [x] minute option in the Account Settings for testing purposes. Set it to 1 minute and see if you're able to receive new messages during these 1-minute intervals.

Yes, I see the messages after setting to 1 minute.
