ePIM Pro 12.1.2 crashes since last update

Since the last update, I've been crashing anywhere from twice a day to 3 times a week. This is a total crash. No offer to send you a message. Here's the last error message. I know I should have been recording them sooner, but ...

This closes the program and requires starting it up again.

Previously, I'd get a crash and offer to send you information about once every 2 or 3 months

Could you please elaborate on when these errors typically occur? Is there some noticeable pattern to when they happen?

I really did respond to you on the 27th or 28th. I don't know where that response is. But here are two, I'll check the first got posted.

It always happens only in Email section, when moving from one folder to another. Could be a different account or to a folder within an account.

OK, that seemed to post, so here' the latest.

This time I got 2 error messages. This one was on top.

Sadly, I was able to move the error message on top, but it had priority and I couldn't send information because I had to OK the top message. Then, it closed everything.

Please let me know what else you need. This is not good.

I got another error message when moving to another folder within an account in email. As always, it closes, the program after I press OK. Restarts sometimes require checking database.

Is this an IMAP email account? If so, could you please try removing the account and then re-adding it to see if this resolves the issue?

UPDATE: Please download, install and try the following build: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c53pK7 ... sp=sharing. Does this resolve the problem?

I've installed the test app.12.1.2(build 1022) - We just have to wait now. I'm not deleting the account then re-installing. It is a bit of an odd account. I have an account at Runbox.com - then have my email redirected to them while Inmotion continues to host my website. Then I have subfolders under my runboxbox account for my real email, like steve@mywebsite.com or nospam@mywebsite.com Also there's a slush setup so anything@mywebsite.com will go to the top inbox.

Perhaps that also provides a clue.

Anyway, we must wait and see.

It might be too early to be certain, but since I installed the test fix, there have not been any crashes. You might have fixed it. Just letting you know.

crashed today with test fix, but it might not be same issue. It doesn't act the same. It offered to let me send the log, which I did. Here's the error message.

After sending the message, it loops on the sending message, so it is difficult to close the program. It does not gracefully recover.

I leave EPIM open all the time so I can add tasks or calendar events from my android tablet when I'm not in my home office, but am home, so a local connection syncing. In this situation, I was using the browser on another screen so was not accessing EPIM, but that doesn't mean it didn't check email or something.

EPIM was crashed this morning when I came in. I had to use task manager to close it. This was the error message

Hope this helps. - Also, since the other error this test version was designed to fix, hasn't come back, I think you got it fixed and this is something else.

This is a different error. Please forward us the mail log file (you can send it to me via PM in the forum). You can find the log by going to Tools -> Options, selecting Logs Folder, and looking for the file that begins with "Mail. Thank you!

Hello Steve,

I also had some problems with the email module. The following helped me:

Deleting all active filters in the email module such as "Customized Views", "Message Rules ..." and deactivating and resetting spam filters.

I also deleted "all" logs in the directory >> C:\Users\"Your user name"\AppData\Roaming\EssentialPIM\Logs <<.

If all else fails:
Create a backup of the database and the roaming directory!!! Uninstall EPIM "completely", also delete the roaming directory. Restart the computer and reinstall EPIM. Create a new database with the desired settings (categories, contact fields, representations, ...) and restart Windows.

Use "EPIMSync12.1.exe" (currently not available on the website) to transfer the old database to the new database. All filters (see above) should have been deleted in the old database beforehand.

Start EPIM and optimize the new database. Then restart Windows again. EPIM may stutter a bit when it first starts (?).

Did upload the mail logs yesterday. Today I got the old error I think. It closed down after clicking OK. No chance to send information.

Could you please you describe what you were doing in EPIM immediately before the error appeared?
