jossmer, what's your Windows version? Are you running the portable or installable version?
sunniar, will installing the portable version in another folder make any changes?

Re: v12.1.4 can’t start up.
Please try reinstalling EssentialPIM 12.1.4 as a portable version in a completely new folder to see if that resolves the issue. Let us know the outcome. Thanks!

It doesn't work.admin wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 12:46 pm Please try reinstalling EssentialPIM 12.1.4 as a portable version in a completely new folder to see if that resolves the issue. Let us know the outcome. Thanks!
I also tried installing in sandbox, no help.
The essentialpimfree.exe doesn’t work either.
Deleting epimlic.dll and other DLL files ggoes no warning or error message.

Re: v12.1.4 can’t start up.
Will it work if you first delete the EssentialPIM.exe file and then try launching EssentialPIM_Free.exe?

Re: v12.1.4 can’t start up.
I have not tried this yet. But support messaged with this: I did this and there was no change. Still not working. But, it may work for someone else with this issue.admin wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 12:46 pm Please try reinstalling EssentialPIM 12.1.4 as a portable version in a completely new folder to see if that resolves the issue. EDIT I have now tried out your suggestion Admin. Saddly, it did not work.

Hello,
Close EPIM (or make sure that no essentialpi.exe process is running) and delete EPIM.ini file from here:
C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\EssentialPIM\
Then run EPIM. Will it help?
Regards,
Anton

Re: v12.1.4 can’t start up.
This issue should be fixed in build 1035, which is now available on the download page: https://www.essentialpim.com/download-free. Please download and reinstall it, then let us know if you can start EPIM normally now. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
