Several years ago, I came across EPIM for Android on the internet. The basic concept and its potential seemed absolutely convincing. Unfortunately, the software has now reached a point where, for well over two years, there has been no further development and no bug fixes. What is more, any inquiries on the subject are answered in a highly evasive manner.
As a result, I have decided—sad as it is—to stop using the software. Simply because I see no other option. Other software products provide, at least to a large extent, the content and features I expect from a productive application, and so I have no choice but to switch.
It is very unfortunate that the software has been abandoned in this way and—sadly, one has to say—that users have been left to their own devices. What is worst of all is the information policy that was pursued, namely none at all. One would have wished that those responsible had intervened. It is a shame that it turned out this way.

Would hate to see you go. You have provided great assistance for many users. As to the software short-comings, what one or two features does the competing software have that you want to see in the AEPIM?

I specifically keep the EPIM product because of its lack of complexity to use and maintain. I have not really reached any work stoppage due to a feature that is not available in the AEPIM software. Your usage may need more features. Thanks.

I agree with DanFelix about seeing you leave. Are you leaving EPIM altogether, or just the Android app?

Just Android app. And not because app is no good, but because of manufacturer behaviour. No need to repeat what many have said here before

Poet-man, I am glad to see you are at least staying with the desktop product. I don't think no one would argue with your issues with the Android product. I am very unique in the way I use the Android product "on the road" as only a "lookup" reference for what's on my desktop EPIM - I only sync from my desktop to the Android, never the reverse. I have adapted to the limitations of doing that, but again, that is not the typical expectation people would have of the Android EPIM.

apparently EPIM for Android will not be further developed. At least admin comments in various posts suggest this - delaying tactics (?!).

For me, the advantage of EPIM is that I can synchronize my data on my smartphone and laptop without the use of an external provider. If this possibility is no longer given, further use of EPIM for Windows is also questionable for me.

Unfortunately, there is no clear and therefore reliable feedback from Astonsoft on this topic.

After some time I had a look in here again

And yes, this twin-feature of EPIM for me is, what is substancial for this product. To be on my way, with all my data at my finger tips is what makes it up. For years now, nothing goes ahead. To communicate right out of my data, being on my way, is crucial. So far, sending a mail right away ... still impossible. And still no clear feedback on this. As you say ... delaying tactics. Having my laptop with me, is no alternative at all.
I presume, there is no Android developer available. And so Astonsoft hopes, this problem will solve on itself, concentrating on WinEPIM and users wil calm down, as time goes by.
And YES, it does ... users start to use other products ... as sad as it is.
That is, what I have done.
As it has been said ... a clear, reliable feedback would have minimized damage. Truth always is the best means!!! Otherwise damage is at its maximum.
And so, AEPIM still is there on my tablet, but unused. I do hope, WinEPIM wilĺ stay to be the main means. Time will show, how cruical a clear feedback would have been!

Again he said something, without saying anything.

I have given up ... tired of the way, information is handled. My data on my mobile has moved. Surely not the best solution an app can provide, but much more a solution that delivers what I need, without holding users firmly tight and nothing happens for years.

I also think it’s a shame that development on the Android app has stalled.

Since I switched to an unlocked Android phone, I’ve been looking for good apps for calendars, to-do lists, and so on.

So I took another look at the EPIM app, and while it’s generally decent, it keeps glitching—it doesn’t update certain entries, and so on.

Maybe we can still hope for a new version here.

Its nuts that the Android app is so barebones and not fun to look at.
