Google Calendar Sync Problem

Post by thomson »

I am using EPIM Pro Ver 3.54. I entered a Task on 6-22-10 at 2:30AM. Did a Google Sync. The event on the Google calendar is on 6-21-10 at 10:30AM. If I enter on the Google Calendar and sync all is correct. Any Ideas?

Thanks
Max

Hi,

most probably you have wrong timezone set up in your Google calendar. Go into your Google calendar settings and make sure Calendar's timezone is the same as on your computer.

I have checked that and they all are set to Eastern -5. From Google to EPIM is ok but EPIM to Google there is a 4 hour difference. The time I checked in google was in my profile and calendar settings.

Thanks

Please try File-> Database management and Clear synchronization data for Google. Will the problem persist?

I tried that did not help. Attached are some screen shots of Google Calendar and EPIM.

There is actually another place to make sure the timezone is the same as all the rest. Your default calendar in Google will take the settings from your General settings while any calendar that is created defaults to GMT time.

You need to go to each individual calendar and make sure the timezone is correct. Go to Settings - Calendar Settings - Calendars - click on the calendar - Calendar Details. In your case click on the "None" calendar and the timezone will most likely be set to "GMT". You should change this to "Eastern" and all events imported or sync'd from now on will now be correct.

That fixed the problem. I would have never found that. Thanks again for such a great product. I have switched from WM phone to Android and not having to change my desktop calendar has been great.
