Google Tasks sync? A proposal
Hi all,
Are there any plans to sync to-do with google tasks? The reason that I ask is that having the calendar on android is a killer feature, as there is no need to sync beyond clicking "Sync with Google" once per day in EPIM.
However, there is no way to keep to-dos with you when you are mobile, and this creates disorganization! If one could have to-dos on android, and enter them via mobile as well, one could keep perfectly organized.
My suggestion is to have to-dos sync with google tasks, possibly using some indexing system to sort out the subtree structure. So perhaps an index like 1.2.5 would be appended to to-dos sent to google tasks, giving information about the main tree, subtree level, status, etc. Then any new tasks created on the phone (and hence without an index) could be placed at the top/bottom of to-do, or better yet in an "unfiled" main tree.
The other possibility would be to have an android app called EPIM to-do. This would then replicate the directory structure, status, etc. by using indexes. Of course google tasks via the web interface would then need to be avoided, but who really cares when it is on EPIM and on your phone? What do you think?? This is very similar to what the free app Jorte does which is providing a very usable calendar that syncs with the google calendar.
Thanks, -Ram

Hi Max and team,
On second thought, I realized that sync with Toodledo would solve all these issues since there is an android app that syncs with it as well (Got to do). I added a vote for this in the sticky thread.
Is this possible?
Thanks, -Ram

Hi,
it is technically impossible to synchronize Google Tasks, as Google has not released Google Tasks API. We simply can not reach the Tasks.
Toodledo is in the plans and probably will appear in 4.0 version September/October 2010

Syncing with Todledoo would be great... fingers crossed it happens!
