Contacts tab: fields do not remain in their last position

Post by pimpam »

Since version 12.2 the fields in the Contacts tab do not remain in their last position. This means that if I resize the fields in the Contacts tab to a certain size, then switch to another tab and go back to Contacts, the fields become very small again. They're no longer the size I had previously set them to.

I forgot to mention: this is also the case with certain email accounts.

Would it be possible for you to record a short video demonstrating the issue? Thanks.

We need to see a video recording of the actions leading to the described behavior. Please also ensure the entire EPIM window is visible in the recording. Thank you.

Firstly, I don't have the skills to create a video, and secondly, I think the problem is actually clearly illustrated in the screenshots. However, I've attached a few more screenshots with descriptions. Incidentally, the issue still occurs with the latest version 12.2 (1041).

Hello pimpam,

the topic is discussed in detail under the following link

https://www.essentialpim.com/forum/view ... hp?t=39408

(as well as in some other posts in the forum) and is a problem with the automatic adjustment of the column width. This feature was introduced with version 12.2 and destroys all table views as well as the more effective “Customized View” function.

The problem may be illustrated, but unfortunately, there's nothing in the screenshots that would help us understand how to reproduce the issue.

Okay, you convinced me to make a video (I finally learned how to do it). Maybe that will shed some light on the problem.

Thanks for the video. Please ensure that the full EPIM window is visible in the recording. If you prefer not to expose your real data, feel free to create a new database with a few test entries instead.
